The TCT Conference and Exhibition will return in 2006 as a stand-alone event, spanning two full days and focusing on the imperative RPD issues for successful design and manufacturing.

This move has occurred as a result of comprehensive feedback from the market and aims to provide a dramatically different event from next year forward.

TCT 2006 will take place on 19th and 20th September 2006, at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Fittingly, the first TCT event took place at the Heritage Motor Centre, back in 1995.

The site has benefited from extensive development, including the addition of first class conference facilities and a much larger exhibitor arena.

This, along with the proximity to a large proportion of UK manufacturing organisations and the ability to offer exhibitors reasonable rates, made the decision to hold TCT 2006 at the Heritage Motor Centre a logical one.

Mark Blezard, Publisher of Time-Compression Technologies, commented: "The excellent venue and its prime location is conducive to our focusing solely on rapid product development technologies".

"Previous TCT events are renowned for their exceptional conference programmes that attract high-calibre delegates, plus extensive networking opportunities".

RPD techniques are starting to develop alongside production, creating "rapid manufacturing".

Today, OEMs can offer mass customisation and manufacturers seeking low volume parts have a greater choice of materials and processes than ever.

TCT 2006 features a two day conference that focuses on the subject of rapid manufacturing and guarantees to attract a substantial audience.

The event is supported by the leading RPD trade publication Time-Compression Technologies and the Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Association.

The Time-Compression Technologies editorial department is already accepting papers for the conference.

Sessions include: technology trends in rapid manufacturing; production materials for rapid manufacturing; real-world applications of rapid manufacturing; and emerging applications in rapid manufacturing.
