On the back of a successful 2006 event, TCT continues to grow and will move venue in 2007 to accommodate more exhibitors, new conference streams and other features designed to offer the visitor an more productive experience.
One year on from the relaunch as a stand-alone event, TCT has outgrown its current venue at the Heritage Motor Centre.
TCT 2007 will take place on 26th and 27th September at the prestigious Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Duncan Wood, Director of Sales for the TCT Product Group comments: "Moving to the Ricoh will offer TCT the space to expand in a purpose-built exhibition hall - one where we can house all exhibitors and many more event features in a single location".
"It will also enable us to offer a more cost-effective pricing structure that will help make TCT an even better return on investment for exhibitors".
TCT will continue to focus on ground breaking rapid product development and manufacturing (RPD and M) technologies.
The significant financial benefits that organisations can gain from adopting these technologies are fast becoming widely accepted by all manufacturing sectors.
Forward thinking engineers must have their finger on the pulse of emerging technologies and the TCT event provides the perfect environment for them to do this.
UK based manufacturers have come under a lot of criticism over the past decade for shifting lower skilled jobs overseas.
However, what many of the critics miss is the background work taking place to ensure that the UK remains the "centre of excellence in product design and innovation".
This is demonstrated at TCT 2006 by the obvious thirst for rapid product development knowledge, not to mention the investment companies are making in new software and hardware.
Mark Blezard, Publisher of the TCT Magazine adds: "TCT is one of very few UK manufacturing events to undergo positive growth both in terms of exhibitors and visitors".
"The financial rewards for manufacturers who embrace these technologies are so compelling that TCT no longer falls into the category of 'a nice jolly if I can make the time' and is now considered to be an essential ingredient in thousands of manufacturers' forward planning".
"The change in mindset has been demonstrated at the 2006 event".
"Companies from all sectors have attended TCT, from blue-chip Aerospace organisations through to consumer start-ups hoping to be the 'next Dyson'".
Papers are also now being solicited for the 2007 Rapid Manufacturing Conference.
