H.Tinsley has introduced the ZY9858 digital micro-ohmmeter with a 'rationalised' specification but able to meet most R and D, QA inspection, laboratory, production and test requirements

H.Tinsley has introduced the ZY9858 digital micro-ohmmeter This unit benefits from the technology used in the company's established precision instruments but has a rationalised specification, without sacrificing quality, to provide an instrument that will meet most R and D, QA inspection, laboratory, production and test requirements

Its scope covers cable joints, earth bonds, switches, motors, transformers, generators, conductor resistance and other applications.

The unit has a maximum test current of 10 amps and provides resistance measurement over seven selectable ranges from 2 mOhms to 2 kOhms with read-out on a 4.5 digit LED.

Furthermore a resolution of 0.1 microOhm means that the instrument is suitable for precision measurement of low resistance.

A four terminal measurement method eliminates errors that would normally occur due to test lead resistance, and the circuitry used achieves measurement much faster than traditional bridge techniques.

Internal digital calibration is provided and each unit is supplied with a certificate of conformity.

Safety features provide protection when measuring inductive devices such as transformers and electric motors.

The instrument is supplied with Kelvin type test leads.

Established in 1904, Tinsley is UKAS accredited and manufactures to ISO9001 quality standards.

The company produces a wide range of high quality precision instrumentation that it supplies to world markets.
