System simplifies inline sampling

True representative sampling of highly corrosive media is provided without process interruption by the Neotecha Sapro inline sampling system.

True representative sampling of highly corrosive media is provided without process interruption by the Sapro inline sampling system from Neotecha.

The PFA-lined Sapro is installed directly into the process pipeline, and can employ either a syringe or bottle sampling method.

The optional valve configurations allow for different levels of safety and containment, depending on specific application needs.

The bottle sampling Sapro valve is offered with either manual or pneumatic operation.

The manual design employs a spring-operated lockable lever which closes automatically on release; to control speed of sampling, the lever stroke is adjustable.

Displaced air in the bottle can be released to a plant scrubbing or venting system and a single acting spring return diaphragm actuator can be fitted to automate the sampling process.

A standard bottle adapter is integral to both manual and pneumatic designs, and supplied in PTFE with an ISO GL45 thread and 0.25in vent connection.

Standard discharge diameter of the bottle adapter is 4mm, but this can be enlarged to 12mm on request.

The syringe collection configuration involves a Sapro with one-size-fits-all bayonet connection - allowing one syringe to be used on several different Sapro valves.

Once the sample is extracted, the syringe can be converted into a needle syringe for easy sample transfer.

The syringe functions both as valve actuator and sample container, and is available in a range of materials for highly corrosive chemicals.

Offering DIN3230 bubble-tight shutoff and tested to leakage rate 1, the Sapro sampling valve can be specified in stainless steel or PFA-lined, and with either wafer or flanged end connections.

It is available in sizes from 25 to 100mm, to handle pressures up to 10bar (for syringe configuration) or 16bar (bottle configuration).

Operating temperatures range from -20 up to +160C for syringe, +180C for PFA-lined and +200C for stainless steel bottle designs.

PFA lined and encapsulated parts are spark tested with 30kV.
