Lined butterfly valves for corrosive
applications
The lined NeoSeal butterfly valve is ideal for demanding or corrosive processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries where the use of common elastomers is unsuitable.
For demanding or corrosive processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries where the use of common elastomers is unsuitable, Neotecha has developed the lined NeoSeal butterfly valve A thick PTFE lining totally eliminates the need for exotic metals in the valve body and provides positive flange sealing, aided by an elastomer backing for positive contact and tight disc seating

Butterfly valves survive aggressive chemicals
The Neotecha NeoSeal butterfly valve range now includes a groundbreaking new series of TFM valve seats and linings for use in the most demanding and aggressive chemical applications.
Wide-bodied butterfly solves lining problems
An innovative new wide-bodied butterfly valve aims to overcome the problems commonly experienced with valve operation as a result of thick, protective pipe linings.
As the disc and liner are the only two valve parts in contact with the process media, it minimises both leakage paths and damage to the valve from the process media.
Both liner and disc form an integrated part of the primary and secondary shaft sealing, and are moulded and machined for low torque, less stress and deformation during operation, and elimination of tearing and bunching.
The one-piece thin disc stem is lined with 3mm moulded PFA, providing high Kv values.
An upper and lower set of belleville springs provides the pressure necessary to keep the two sealing surfaces together, resulting in a superior stem seal.
This preloaded contact between disc and liner hub, combined with an oversized shaft diameter in relation to the shaft hole in the liner, provides droptight shutoff in both directions up to 10bar, in accordance with EN12266-1 and 2.
As a result of the well engineered soft seal construction, emission has been reduced to a minimum.
The NeoSeal is TA-Luft and VDI2440 certified.
Certified to ISO5752/5 short (EN558-1/T5), the NeoSeal is offered with various corrosion resistant disc materials including PFA, UHMWPE, stainless steel and titanium, to satisfy specific process requirements.
The NeoSeal can be supplied in accordance with ATEX directives group 2, category 2 G/D.
NeoSeal has performed successfully in vacuum tests with helium, at pressures as low as 20Pa absolute (0.2mbar(a)).
The wafer and lugged split body design includes body locating holes for easier installation and to ensure perfect centring of the valve between flanges.
The valve also incorporates an integral actuator flange and stem dimensions to ISO5211.
NeoSeal can be specified in wafer, lugged, and double flanged configurations, to DIN PN10/16, ANSI150 and JIS10K, in connection sizes ranging from 40 to 600mm.
It is suitable for temperatures from -40 to +200C.
