The Titan PD400 oil flow meter is designed for fuel measurement on boilers, in fuel test cells and other oil metering applications.

It provides an oil flow meter and hours of operation counter, and is typically used on single- or two-stage burners with throughput rates from 1 to 40 litre/h of heating oil.

The six-character digital display can show oil consumption, number of starts, hours of operation, plus the unit provides a warning indication if the flow rate falls below a preset nominal level, which may be the result of either an obstructed nozzle or filter.

By identifying problems with the oil flow, inefficient oil combustion and the consequent air pollution can be avoided.

The PD400 oil flow sensor is an oval gear design, which ensures that the pressure loss across the sensor is very low (less than 150mbar at full flow) and that the performance remains almost constant over the whole temperature and viscosity range of the oil supply.

The very compact design means that the enclosed volume of the meter is only 2ml, and the 0.125in connections are the most commonly used in the industry.

The sensor is mounted between the oil pump and the nozzle: the meter must be installed after an inline filter (100um) but it may be positioned in any attitude.

The six-digit display has 8mm high characters and can be mounted anywhere on the burner.

It is available in either a mains or battery powered version.
