Teseo aluminium HBS manages air and oil deliveries

A Teseo UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 17, 2008

Teseo's modular aluminium hollow bar system (HBS) has been installed to manage air and oil deliveries at TNT's new vehicle maintenance depot in Durham.

Teseo said its aluminium modules are easier to handle compared to traditional galvanised tubes.

The HBS and the aluminium profile products feature aluminium extruded piping, which has an external rectangular section with tee slots and a fine, smooth internal bore.

A selection of angle and straight joints, quick clamping pieces and connectors make the Teseo system flexible in layout design and quick to install.

The speed and ease of accurate installation reduces labour time and skills to make the Teseo system an attractive technical and economic choice for modern compressed air and fluid delivery.

Steve Hollyoak from Lumatic, whose company has been at the forefront of the development of Teseo products from the standard airline systems into the oil and liquids market, said: 'The installation used 50mm, 40mm and 25mm sections.

'The air lines run at 145psi (10 bar).

'To handle the increased pressures required in the oil lines - up to 362psi (25 bar) - we simply add a second clamp.'.
