Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 16, 2004

The Trio Motion Technology range of motion co-ordinator products allows control of up to 24 axes of servo and stepper motors, with I/O and additional equipment from a single master controller.

Total Motion Systems (TMS) is an approved distributor for the Trio Motion Technology range of motion co-ordinator products.

This system allows control of up to 24 axes of servo and stepper motors, with I/O and additional equipment such as keypads and displays, from a single master controller.

Using the Trio fibre optic network several masters can be networked together.

The dedicated Motion Perfect program may be used to provide a wide range of programming facilities and gives the user direct access to the Trio Basic programming language which allows the user to build stand-alone programs or to send commands from an external computer.

Standard program constructs such as variables, loops, I/O, maths and conditions are provided as well as multi-axis interpolation, circular and helical interpolation, cam profiles, software gearboxes, linked movements, axis superimposition, imaginary axes and hardware registration.
