Packaged drive can be directly connected to the mains AC supply at 110 to 230V without the need for a transformer, has step and direction command inputs and can supply up to 6A/phase.

The latest addition to the RTA stepper drive range from Total Motion Systems is the X-Mind packaged drive, which can be directly connected to the mains AC supply at 110 to 230V without the need for a transformer It has step and direction command inputs and can supply up to 6A/phase

As with all Mind drives, the unit is housed in a metallic box for wall or bulkhead mounting.

The full RTA range covers motor phase currents from 0.85 to 14A/phase with motor bus voltages from 24 to 240V DC.

The drives are suitable for use with bipolar two phase, 1.8-degree stepping motors from size 11 to 65.

The HGD drive units are available as panel mount drives, either with onboard plug and socket connections or with solder type PCB mounting pins.

The SDC series, with plug and socket connections, gives the added benefit of mini-stepping, and the similar SAC series operates from AC supplies.

For higher power industrial applications, there are the GAC, GMH and GMD drives with ratings up to 12A and 180V DC from either AC or DC supplies and the packaged Mind series with up to 12A and 180V DC.

For higher stepper motor performance, the BCW02 gives 14A at up to 240V DC.

All drives have protection against short circuits at motor outputs, against under and over voltage and are thermally protected.
