TAL Technologies has released a new version of WinWedge, its easy-to-use data collection program designed for interfacing RS232 (and TCP/IP) devices such as data collection equipment, laboratory instruments, balances, pH meters, moisture analysers, micrometers, flow meters, temperature sensors, bar code scanners, GPS receivers, and other serial output devices, to any Windows application.
WinWedge inputs real-time serial data directly into Excel, Access, LIMS, MMIs, statistical software or any other Windows software.
Users employ WinWedge to easily perform real-time analysis, charting and graphing of serial data in PC applications.
Different instruments can simultaneously send data to different applications or to different "fields" within the same application.
New features of Version 4.0 include: an improved installation program; the ability to minimise WinWedge to the system tray instead of to the taskbar; the facility to send keystrokes to DOS applications and Citrix Windows as well as MS Windows applications; and a rewritten user's manual and help files with new examples for using WinWedge Pro with the latest Windows application programs such as the newest versions of Excel.
Existing WinWedge Pro 3.14 users can upgrade for free.
