Three new regional drives distributors

TM Automation has appointed three new regional drives distributors, increasing its national presence as Toshiba's Strategic Business Partner for automation technologies.

TM Automation has appointed three new regional drives distributors, increasing its national presence as Toshiba1s Strategic Business Partner for automation technologies.

They are IES in Gainsborough, N Lincs, Electric Bray of Rochester, Kent, and Powerplus to cover South Wales, and they bring the TM Automation network up to 24 distributors.

IES1s nearest customers are from an agricultural and food processing area, but it also extends into the industrial areas around Doncaster, Lincoln, Worksop, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and the Humber estuary.

Powerplus, already a major player in industrial motors sales, says it is expecting rapid take up of the Toshiba drive, as South Wales is developing many new industries to replace the traditional steel and coal activities.

Road, rail and water infrastructure developments are encouraging manufacturing start-ups in the Valleys, while the commercial property developments like Cardiff Bay require drives for pump, fan and HVAC applications.

Electric Bray will represent TM Automation throughout Kent, so has a thoroughly mixed customer base: heavy industry along the Thames, high tech around the coast, food production, and commercial and leisure industries across the county.

Robert Garrick, TM Automation1s manager for drives says: "We have nearly completed our distributor network, which means we can offer high levels of customer support locally through 24 committed and experienced distributors.

This leads seamlessly to central support from TM Automation and on to Toshiba's international coverage.".
