A new datalogger cellphone mode turns an online DAQ system into a watchdog for temperature increases and decreases on valuable commodities.

A novel datalogger cellphone mode has been added to the TMI Termo online DAQ system.

The new mode turns the online DAQ system into a watchdog for temperature increases and decreases on valuable commodities.

The module uses a standard SIM card bought by the user from a cellphone company.

The TMI Termo online sends alerts using SMS and ringtone whenever the temperature exceeds a permitted limit.

An alert is also transmitted when there is a electricity shortage or any other incident that might stop the device from working.

Another new is the ability to limit the logged file by time or by number of sample.

This feature can help the user to analyse a sequence of events.
