TM Robotics has formed a partnership with Logicon Systems and Evershed Robotics to provide a South of England sales and support team for Toshiba Machine's Industrial Robots.

Established in 1983, Logicon is a trading division of UK Electric and is an established supplier of factory automation systems and industrial information technology with an in-house support team of solution consultants.

Logicon offers a range of products, from programmable controllers to vision systems, and TM Robotics' products sit comfortably at the top end of its portfolio.

Telford based, Evershed Robotics, one of TM's longest serving integrators, has wide experience in all types of robotics applications and specialise in machine loading, vision, welding and high temperature foundry.

It has the capacity to design and build a full turn key solution should this be required.

Nigel Smith, Managing Director of TM Robotics, said: "There is now a tendency within the industry to view robots as components; it is within precisely this kind of climate that a distribution deal like this can flourish.

Simon Cassar, General Manager at Logicon, added, "The addition of the Toshiba SCARA range to our portfolio enables us to offer our customers a complete, and affordable, automation solution.

We can now present a full service from push buttons to control systems and robotics.

Logicon was looking for SCARA components to complement its product range; we chose TM Robotics because of the breadth of its product offering and technical support.
