Modular design gives over 500 robot
configurations
The BA series ROIbot uses a modular building block design, allowing single or dual axis configurations to be built from the same standard components.
Toshiba Machine Co Ltd is among the leaders in the European SCARA and Cartesian Industrial Robot market and will be exhibiting at the Hannover Messe between April 23rd and the 28th, for the first time in its 50-year history Following the restructuring of Toshiba's industrial controls operation, TM Robotics Ltd was formed to focus on the development of Toshiba Machine's European industrial robot business

TM Robotics and Toshiba Machine will be exhibiting the BA series of linear, multiple actuators and Cartesian robots, or ROIbots as they are known.
In addition they will be showing the SR-424HSP SCARA robot, which will be integrated with vision and conveyer systems, and the SR-654HSP, which will be demonstrating a cost effective method of positioning PCBs.
The BA series ROIbot uses a modular building block design, allowing single or dual axis configurations to be built from the same standard components.
This system allows for over 500 configurations whilst the compact design minimizes space requirements.
Each axis can handle up to 100kgs and features AC servomotors, precision ground ball screws and high rigidity linear guides.
The unit can be programmed using familiar WINDOWS or TPH-2A teach pendant programming tools and the programming language is carried over from existing ROIbot lines to facilitate the use of all equipment.
During recent years the two companies have focused on the SCARA Robot market and has arguably the strongest range of mechanical arms available, these include the SR-HSP Series of robots, which sit at the sharp end of the industrial process.
The SR-424HSP, or 'baby SCARA', has a maximum payload of 3kg, an arm length of 420mm and a Z-axis stroke of 150mm.
As a result high speed and high accuracy motions can be realized with significantly improved working accuracy.
The model is equipped with an absolute system, thus complicated home returns are not required.
Extensive options are available such as extended Z-axis strokes, clean room specifications and ceiling mounted possibilities.
The SR-654HSP has an arm length of 650mm, a Z-axis stroke of 200 or 400mm and a maximum payload of 10kgs. Request a free brochure from TM Robotics (Europe) ...
