At Surface World 2001, 3M Specialty Materials will be exhibiting Novec Engineered Fluids - an advanced range of approved and effective specialty solvent replacements for HCFCs

With a ban on the general use of HCFC-solvents being implemented on January 1st next year, 3M Specialty Materials' presence at Surface World 2001 (Hall 3A Stand 264), with its UK Distributor Samuel Banner and Co, takes on even greater significance.

At this exhibition (NEC Birmingham, UK, 2nd to 4th October), 3M will be exhibiting Novec Engineered Fluids - an advanced range of approved and effective specialty solvent replacements for HCFCs.

HFE based, Novec Engineered Fluids offer high performance, non-flammable and low toxicity solvent alternatives for precision and electronics cleaning and vapour degreasing.

They also include special formulations for inerting or use as deposition solvents.

Taking reference to the USA precision cleaning ODS (ozone-depleting substances) phase-out, Novec Engineered Fluids have been registered as best viable in-kind substitutes by the EPA SNAP, under the Clean Air Act.

Used in co-solvent processes Novec fluids are proven to achieve greater cleaning power than other solvent alternatives, reduce process times and provide superior penetration without aggression.

They provide the optimum balance of performance, safety and environmental properties.

Novec Engineered Fluids are gaining worldwide acclaim in manufacturing industry for providing excellent performance whilst offering an effective way of achieving regulatory compliance.
