TTE Consulting has completed a massive bespoke training programme for shipyard operator McNulty Offshore in South Shields.

TTE Consulting, part of The TTE Technical Training Group, has completed a massive bespoke training programme for shipyard operator McNulty Offshore in South Shields In total 2300 personnel working on the refit of the Global Producer III floating production, storage and offshore unit have undergone a bespoke Permit to Work programme

The course was devised by TTE in close partnership with McNulty to ensure every one of the operatives working on the project has a strong understanding of the project, the company for which they are working and the important safety practices employed.

Permit to Work was delivered to new and existing McNulty employees at Level 1 for operators and Level 2 for supervisors.

Carried out over a 12 week period, TTE had four of its experienced training team involved in the delivery.

The refit of Global Producer III was a major boost for the Tyneside shipping industry and saw McNulty's staff levels dramatically increase to be able to meet the demand of such a large project.

The floating production, storage and offloading unit is one of a range of different types of floating systems used by the offshore oil and gas industry.

TTE Consulting, which is based in Middlesbrough, works closely with industry in the UK and overseas to deliver bespoke and training solutions.

As the UK's largest employer-led technical training provider, TTE delivers industry personnel with relevant qualifications focusing on competency and safety.

Sasha Keyworth, McNulty Offshore Health and Safety Manager, said: "We are focused on ensuring our personnel are equipped with the best safety knowledge to ensure smooth running of our operations".
