IHS has signed agreement with Interstandard for the worldwide subscription rights to distribute the official English translation of Gosstandart of Russia's (GOST) standards.
IHS has signed agreement with Interstandard for the worldwide subscription rights to distribute the official English translation of Gosstandart of Russia's (GOST) standards.
The agreement between Interstandard and IHS also provides IHS with the worldwide rights to distribute the Russian version of GOST standards within subscriptions and the English and Russian versions of GOST standards as individual electronic and hard-copy documents.
Providing access to the full complement of GOST standards, the agreement has far-reaching economic implications that are favourable for promoting standardisation and compliance with Russian, American, European, and other international manufacturers and suppliers, allowing for open trade of products and services to and from the Russian market as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
GOST standards cover over 20 industries including petroleum, chemical, mining and mineral resources, power and electrical equipment, and oil and gas products.
The collection consists of over 22,000 standards; including more than 3000 that have already been translated into English by Interstandard.
