Torque Control Ltd, who offer an inspection and repair service facility for Rivet Nut and Rivet Tools, have also uncovered a potential Health and Safety concern on some older tools
Regular tool maintenance and safety inspections are essential to ensure consistently high quality of the final product, when installing Rivet Nuts or Blind Rivets.

Earlier designs of pneumatic tools have a 78mm dia circlip retaining the base of the air cylinder.
The land retaining the circlip wears away over a period of time and the 100 psi, pressure can blow out the base of the tool.
Torque Control carry spares for most makes of tools and their fully equipped service department are able to repair tools quickly.
An added facility is tools available for hire whilst the customer's tool is repaired.
A detailed inspection, available at low cost, is recommended by Torque Control Ltd., a supplier qualified to BS EN ISO 9002 for technical advise on blind rivet nuts, and associated tooling.
