Easy interconnection for solar power
systems

The second generation of Solarlok connector systems delivers a flexible system solution for easy and reliable interconnection between photovoltaic modules and the DC/AC convertor.

The second generation of Solarlok connector systems delivers a flexible system solution for easy and reliable interconnection between photovoltaic modules and the DC/AC convertor The entire system concept (containing junction boxes, connectors, solar cables and application tools) is based on cost-effective and reliable assembly of individual interconnection system components

This considerably reduces the overall installation costs of the solar energy system.

The junction box concept is based on a flexible open system structure, which allows serial as well as parallel interconnection via direct wire connection or separable connectors.

Within the junction box, the number of termination positions is flexible and can be tailored to specific customer requirements.

The robust construction combined with the proven "squeeze to release" connection system ensures reliable connection even in harsh outdoor environments with extreme temperature variations.

Additional product features include guaranteed mating safety through polarity keyed housings, fully shrouded contacts, reliable high cycle life as well as certification to common worldwide standards.

Tyco Electronics' halogen free, high temperature resistant and double insulated Raychem Solar cable (a specially modified cable for use with the Solarlok connector system and certified by TUV Rheinland) meets all requirements for durability yet is flexible and easy to process.

The electric cable is available in black, red, and blue jacket colours, and features conductor diameters ranging from 1.5 to 10mm2.

The Solarlok interconnection system is rounded off by a complete range of application tools, ranging from simple hand crimping tools through to semi-automatic stripper-crimper applicators.

For off-site use, fully configured field service kits are available that include a broad range of Solarlok components and tools commonly needed by service and installation personnel. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
