Tyco Electronics, the world's largest passive electronic components manufacturer, is naming Arrow Electronics as its European Distributor of the Year for 2003.
Tyco Electronics, the world's largest passive electronic components manufacturer, is naming Arrow Electronics as its European Distributor of the Year for 2003.
As well as reflecting outstanding performance in sales growth, the award recognises demand creation.
"Successful Tyco Electronics distribution partners must have the ability to develop new customers, backed up by a strong inventory position to enable them to deliver superior service," comments Richard Jangeborg, Tyco Electronics's sales manager in Sweden and Nordic distribution manager.
He continues: "Arrow has performed well for us in all European locations, especially Northern Europe, France, Germany and Italy, and they carry more Tyco Electronics inventory and more of our brands than any other Tyco Electronics distributor.
Furthermore, Arrow's huge market penetration and sales network means that they can offer customers both excellent technical and logistical support".
"Tyco Electronics is a very important supplier for Arrow with a broad product portfolio.
"We have enjoyed a long partnership with them which has led to a very open and honest relationship between our two companies that enables us to discuss issues and challenges," adds Karl-Johan Lier, MD Arrow Nordic.
"This has contributed to the strong growth that we enjoyed in 2003, and we are honoured to be chosen as Tyco Electronics' 2003 European Distributor of the Year".
Similar awards were presented to Arrow in Italy for Southern Europe and in Germany for Central Europe to make up the full "European Distributor of the Year for 2003" award.
These complement the award given in Gothenberg, Sweden for Northern Europe.
