Compact relays tackle industrial applications
The Kilovac EV200 relay series from Tyco Electronics is a small, low-price and hermetically sealed relay with contact ratings of up to 500A DC.
The Kilovac EV200 relay series from Tyco Electronics is a small, low-price and hermetically sealed relay with contact ratings of up to 500A DC.
Developed for explosive and harsh environments, the EV200 relay is intrinsically safe with no oxidation or contamination of coils or contacts, providing stable contact resistance over years of use, including long periods of nonoperation.
EV200 relays provide high contact rating for their size for multiple industrial applications, including battery switching and backup, DC voltage power control, circuit protection and safety applications.
A built-in coil economiser requiring only 1.7W hold power at 12V DC limits back EMF to 0V.
Coil connection is either via flying leads or optional connectors.
An optional auxiliary contact allows for easy monitoring of the power contact position.
Mechanical life of the Kilovac EV200 relay is 1 million cycles and it is designed for an operating temperature range from -40 up to +85C.
EV200 relays are CE marked for EC applications, meet AIAG QS9000 specifications and are recognised to US and Canadian UL File No E208033.
