Tyco Electronics has appointed Auriga (Europe) as systems distributor for the full AMP Netconnect range of structured cabling and networking products.

Tyco Electronics has appointed Auriga (Europe) as systems distributor for the full AMP Netconnect range of structured cabling and networking products.

The new appointment means that Auriga can not only sell the AMP Netconnect range of copper and fibre cabling products, but can provide them to approved AMP Netconnect design and installation contractors (NDIs) as part of a system covered by the company's 25-year system performance warranty.

Auriga has had a long association with the AMP Netconnect product range, having previously been a fibre optic specialist distributor for the company's products.

"The new agreement takes our relationship to a new level in recognition of the excellent support they have provided to our customers", commented Charlie Hanman, Channel Sales Manager for the AMP Netconnect Division of Tyco Electronics UK.

"From now on, Auriga will be working with us and our contractors and installers at all stages of project implementation".

"Auriga has been working with AMP for over 16 years, having been distributing their fibre-optic systems and components since 1989", added Auriga's Sales Director, Sarah Wetton.

"We are delighted to be able to extend this agreement to encompass the full range of AMP Netconnect structured cabling systems - including both 10 Gigabit and intelligent patching solutions - as part of our focus on copper networking".

"In keeping with our policy of offering our customers the widest choice of premium brands, the AMP Netconnect business group is a global market leader in structured cabling, and their full range is now available through Auriga".
