Colour industrial video camera measures 44mm wide by 44mm high by 78mm deep and weighs 155g, and can be integrated into a high speed machine vision system.

Toshiba America Information Systems has announced the IK-TF2 3CCD colour industrial video camera.

The miniature 44mm wide by 44mm high by 78mm deep camera was developed in response to the need for a small package (155g) that can be integrated into a high speed machine vision system where high definition and colour resolution are critical.

The three-chip camera has a 0.85cm IT-CCD sensor (410,000 pixels), 570 TV (H) resolution and an RGB micro prism system to capture accurate, computer-ready colour images.

With RS232 serial interface, a 2:1 interlaced scanning system, on-screen menu and C-mount lens flange, the 3CCD camera can be easily integrated into an existing system.

It is for precision colour web inspection, food sorting, packaging, colour printing and tasks involving high speed colour imaging.

Other applications include medical diagnostics, military, industrial and scientific imaging.
