A high-flow nonspill quick-disconnect coupling has been launched in the UK by Tom Parker.

Manufactured by Colder Products Company of the USA, the Chemquik CQN08 series are made of ultrapure virgin PTFE with Chemraz seals for chemical compatibility.

Manufactured in a controlled environment and double bagged in class 100 anti-static clean room bags, they use no contaminating lubricants, and meet industries ultra-pure standards, making them ideally suited for most wet process chemicals found in semiconductor, pharmaceutical and laboratory applications.

The CQN08 features a patented nonspill design providing instant flow shutoff for safe line disconnections.

The metal-free spring-free flow path allows smooth, unrestricted, low turbulence flow with an industry leading Cv range of 7.3 for the double-sided shut off version to 9.4 for the single-sided shut-off, yielding a capacity of over 40g/min (water).

Designed to operate within a pressure range of 0-80lb/in2 and a fluid temperature range of -18 to +65C, the couplings are available in panel mount and in-line configurations.

Integral 0.75in NPT threads and 0.75 and 1in flare-style terminations connect to PFA, FEP and other semirigid tubing.
