A suite of tools to manufacture medical alarm/environment controls has been made by Toolcraft Plastics of Swindon from high grade aluminium alloy.

Specialists in the use of this material, Toolcraft made all nine plastic components including the critically shaped neoprene rubber sealing ring, the lens piece, the spring bed-side clip, the wall mount, and overmoulded the cable/jack plug for a high reliability connection.

The overall product was designed as impact resistant to deal with any accidental damage and is "clean-easy".

A series of control buttons enables the patient to select entertainment programmes, audio volume, lighting levels or call for assistance.

Designing the full suite of tools enabled Toolcraft Plastics to control tolerances to very close limits resulting in excellent overall component fitting.
