Toolcraft Plastic's experience at adapting existing mould tools to run in its moulding machines was severely tested recently, when it received over 20 tools from existing customers whose moulders had ceased trading.

Within 2 weeks, Toolcraft produced mouldings from all of the tools, a testament to its quick and easy tool adaptation system, which uniquely, also enables adaptation of Manumold mould tools to run automatically.

Over the years, Toolcraft has helped a number of companies to change from in-house to subcontract moulding, relieving them of burdens such as legislative changes and expenses and enabling them to concentrate on their more profitable core activities.

With companies increasingly finding that their suppliers have ceased trading, Toolcraft's in-house toolroom is becoming an invaluable service, enabling them to repair or modify existing tools and produce mouldings very quickly, thus minimising any downtimes to customers.

With over 40 machines from 10 to 180t, including 20 suited to insert, encapsulation and two colour overmoulding, coupled with experience of wide range of plastics including thermoplastic rubbers and elastomers, there is ample capacity for more tools.

A range of finishing options including pad and hot foil printing, ultrasonic welding and product assembly completes the 'one stop shop' service.
