T-flex parametric CAD V10 released
Top Systems, has announced the release of version 10 of its T-flex CAD system.
Top Systems, the pioneering developer of advanced parametric solutions, has announced the release of version 10 of its T-Flex CAD system.
The new release of this 2D and 3D CAD continues to deliver the best parametric design solutions to help manufacturers and design engineers compete and win in global markets.
"Our mission is to provide effective comprehensive tools that dramatically reduce time needed to complete projects".
"The productivity gains are especially sufficient in family-of-parts design or any other design situations that use similar geometry but require many different sizes or permutations".
"All T-Flex CAD versions used to excel other applications in the power of parametrics".
"Version 10 goes further with its automatic construction-based sketching, interactive relations and handles both in 2D and 3D as well as direct model interaction via arbitrary dimensions on sketch, directly on 3D model, or 2D drawing, created as projection or from scratch," says Sergey Bikulov, Executive Officer of Top Systems.
T-Flex CAD 10 is a major step forward with its new module of physical motion simulation, improved FEA, new welding design subsystem, extended interoperability and hundreds of customer requested enhancements and quality improvements.
The 2D sketching functionality within the system was extended with automatic creation of the parametrically linked construction elements.
This option eliminates "double drawing" effect of the previous releases when creating construction-based parametric sketches and drawings.
Support for Product Manufacturing Information technology allows the user to take established drawing dimensioning and annotation methods and take them to the 3D realm.
It helps to generate a 2D drawing, extracting much of the vital detailing information automatically.
It is also possible to modify a 3D model directly by changing the values of the 3D dimensions.
The new T-Flex Dynamics (physical motion simulation) module is fully integrated with T-Flex CAD meaning that assembly geometry, mates, loads and drivers are used directly to determine reaction forces and other parameters.
T-Flex CAD 10 offers improved technology for 3D assembly modeling that can handle large assemblies with minimal impact on performance.
Graphs, the new elements introduced in T-Flex CAD 10, can be used for defining the laws of various modeling operations as well as for displaying the results of CAE analysis.
T-Flex CAD 10 strengthens Top Systems' focus on providing solutions that ease CAD interoperability, allowing designers and engineers to easily share product data and models.
New release supports direct import of parts and assemblies from Solid Edge and SolidWorks.
When importing part or assembly data from a live running copy of SolidWorks, the data is transferred from SolidWorks to T-Flex CAD with all the structure of assembly and mates.
A new command is introduced to recalculate model dimensions to the middle of tolerance zones.
This functionality helps to adapt drawings and models to the toolpath calculation for the T-Flex CAM module.
The draft analysis tool for mold design was extended with the possibility to automatically define the two sets of faces to separate the mold cavity from the core.
Inside T-Flex CAD 10 there is a weldment-design environment.
It allows you to design the 3D weldment assembly, as well as weld-bead specification and add special 2D weldment symbols when creating standards-based welding drawings.
In addition to various interface enhancements and improvements in modeling functionality V10 also includes the updated Parasolid 17.1 modeling kernel.
T-Flex CAD 10 is now available to all Top Systems subscribers for immediate download.
