ISA adds support to new exhibition

The Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society is to have a high profile at Total Processing and Packaging, the new international event dedicated to processing and packaging machinery.

The Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA) is to have a high profile at Total Processing and Packaging, the new international event dedicated to the processing and packaging machinery sectors.

Due to be held at the UK NEC in Birmingham from 29th March until 1st April 2004, Total will give the ISA an ideal opportunity to promote itself and its activities to a wider audience.

With 38,000 members in 110 countries, the ISA is focused on the theory, design, manufacture and use of sensors, instruments, computers and systems for measurement and control in a wide variety of applications.

The ISA will be working alongside Reed Exhibitions to ensure that Total Processing and Packaging meets the needs of all visitors and exhibitors involved in process and control engineering.

"Advances in instrumentation, control and automation system technology are opening up a wealth of new possibilities for companies in every sector that could help them transform their processes and boost their productivity", says Mark Dutton, President, of the ISA England Section.

"Total will provide an excellent international platform for the ISA to raise awareness of new developments in technology and to communicate the expertise of our members to a broad international audience".

Total Processing and Packaging promises to be the UK's largest integrated exhibition for the processing and packaging industries.

Combining the Eurochem exhibition with Interphex, Pakex and the PPMA Show, Total promises to attract a broad range of visitors from throughout the international chemical processing community, including chemical and petrochemical, pharmaceutical and the food and drink sectors.

As well as featuring the latest products and services, Total will also feature specialist areas offering in-depth information on topics including control and instrumentation and process automation, heat exchange, health and safety, energy efficiency and legislation.

The ISA fosters advancement in the theory, design, manufacture, and use of sensors, instruments, computers, and systems for measurement and control in a wide variety of applications.

The society serves the interests of engineers, technicians, corporate management, and R and D professionals worldwide, working in such industries as: chemicals/pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, aerospace, semiconductors and electronic components, petroleum, rubber and plastics, pulp, paper and allied products, and instrumentation, measurement and control apparatus.

The involvement of industry associations such as the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society is a key element in the Total show.

Names currently signed up to support the show include the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), the Institute of Packaging (IOP), the Institute of Packaging Professionals, the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA), the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA) and the British Plastics Federation (BPF).
