Market-leading welding systems come to the UK
Townsend Coates has won the sole UK an Ireland distribution rights of resistance welding power products manufactured by Peco Welding Systems, Europe's market leader in the technology.
Desktop robot offers large working area
A new high-speed, high-precision desktop robot offers an increased working area for applications such as screw-tightening, dispensing, soldering, and resistance and laser welding.
Manufactured by Unitek Miyachi, the UB25 is equipped with RS232 and RS485 interfaces as standard, which enables it to communicate with a printer or single PC, or to integrate multiple power supplies into a network; the RS485 connection allows up to 30 controls to be connected to a computer.
The package features standard statistical data analysis tools including graphic run charts, history views, and histograms for every parameter.
Weld schedules, including their monitor limits, can be named and stored in a database.
In addition, the package allows collection and storage of the actual weld waveforms and comparison of the current voltage, power and resistance traces from different welds, enabling users to easily record weld data and interpret process stability.
Townsend Coates supplies the complete range of Unitek equipment and systems for resistance welding, laser welding, laser marking, pulse-heated reflow soldering and wirebond pull testing for both fine spot and large scale metals joining applications.
The company offers applications development support at no charge at its Leicester offices.
