Resistance control aids welding
repeatability
A novel "resistance set" feature reduces contact resistance prior to the application of welding current, allowing users to achieve more repeatable resistance welding results.
A feature designed to reduce contact resistance prior to the application of welding current, thus achieving more repeatable resistance welding results, has been added to a range of products from Townsend Coates Now available in the UB25, DC25 and HF25 products, from Unitek Miyachi, the feature is especially useful for welding small parts where consistent part placement is difficult to achieve

Software takes charge of weld data
A novel Windows-based package can be used for storage and collection of weld profiles and results, waveform display and recording, and remote weld schedule or menu programming.
Contact resistance can be influenced by many factors including part placement, varying part overlap and part surface conditions.
It is not uncommon, especially in miniature part welding, for contact resistance to vary by as much as 50% due to inconsistent part placement.
Unitek's new "resistance set" is easy to program and can greatly reduce the negative effects of varying contact resistance.
By bringing the contact resistance to the same low level for each and every part, the resistance set feature permits consistent heat generation based on the bulk resistance of the parts.
