Newly refurbished applications laboratory enables engineers to work with customers to develop the most appropriate production methods to meet their precision joining needs.
Acal TC's Precision Joining Technologies Division has completed a GBP 250,000 refurbishment of its Leicester headquarters to establish a fully equipped applications laboratory.
The new facility allows the company's team of specialist engineers to work with customers to develop the most appropriate production methods to meet their precision joining needs - for both metal and plastic.
Acal can then supply the best equipment to carry out those tasks from its very wide range of precision joining systems.
The new laboratory contains over GBP 300,000 worth of demonstration equipment, including low-current and high-current resistance welding systems, resistance welding monitoring and quality control products, reflow and ACF bonding systems, robotic equipment, induction heating equipment and a wide range of handheld tools.
These products are manufactured by a range of suppliers, including Miyachi Unitek, Miyachi Peco, Janome, Ceia and Hios.
The laboratory is staffed by a team of skilled engineers with many years' experience of all precision joining technologies and also features a range of visual inspection and testing equipment.
