TKI has a new all-stainless-steel range of trapped key interlocks for machine and switchgear safety applications.

TKI has a new all-stainless-steel range of trapped key interlocks for machine and switchgear safety applications.

The competitively priced range of trapped key interlocks is manufactured throughout in high-grade stainless steel.

The integrated range includes: access interlocks, bolt locks, switch interlocks, solenoid controlled and time delay interlocks and key exchange boxes.

The new range has been designed to suit every type of safety application including controlling switchgear, machine guarding access and process control and is suitable for use in hygienic food, pharmaceutical production areas, and in corrosive environments.

One of the key benefits of the new interlocks is the unique open cavity lock barrel which provides unparallel tolerance to the ingress of dirt and other particles that would normally cause premature failure of enclosed, spring operated locks.

The new locks therefore combine the benefits of a long operating life with low maintenance.

The high mechanical strength of the stainless interlocks is also a benefit for safeguarding machinery subject to abrasive dusts, vibration and mechanical stress.

Other features of the new range include coloured coded lock and key tagging for ease of recognition and operation, an integral flip cap and direct drive for the operation of switches and small valves.

A high polished finish is also available as a customer option.

TKI also provides a safety interlocking design service to ensure the selection and integration of the most appropriate interlocking system for any operation, providing advice on compliance with machinery regulations, installation, commissioning and after sales support.
