The prestigious Brackley headquarters of Traub Heckert UK, has installed a Delcam's PowerSHAPE and PowerMILL CADCAM software to demonstrate and support customers with the ability to wholly replicate machining requirements and to offer a complete turn-key solutions service from receipt of CAD data to a finished mould or die Traub Heckert recognised the superior functions of the Delcam CADCAM system and the high level of expertise that Delcam offered which would enhance the synergy between the two companies to the benefit of their common customer base

Both Traub Heckert and Delcam operate in the same, extremely competitive market, where the narrowest margins of cost and time advantage are crucial and where the competition is on a global scale.

Traub Heckert has established extensive expertise in its technical staff and realised the additional benefits to customers by investing in a CADCAM system and skilled operators.

Currently two Traub Heckert staff have been trained by Delcam which follows an ongoing update programme.

Using the Delcam System, Traub Heckert is able to accept data in any of the formats compatible with that system either on disk, CD or over the Internet.

Traub Heckert customers include medical, making hip, knee and other joints, consumer glassware, automotive and aerospace.

Such a diverse range of customers means moulds are produced in a wide variety of materials including hardened steel, graphite and copper with frequent demands for the creation of very complex shapes and profiles.
