Hardware costs are reduced and positioning tasks are removed from central machine control with vastly simplified system coupling.

The MD 300 uses TR's own high-resolution absolute encoders.

Fully integrated "in-line" brake and axial or right angle gear options are available.

Supply voltages ranging from 24V DC to 48V DC and integrated "dump resistors" for energy dissipation under braking come as standard.

CANopen and Profibus are the standard field bus options.
