Tri-Ark can now offer an improved version of the Husky 1040 1" Air Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) Pump, which has been upgraded by Graco to offer improved abrasion resistance.

The new version also includes both centre and end porting for enhanced versatility for pump installation in various applications.

The ball guides on the fluid cover and the outlet manifold have been redesigned to improve abrasion resistance.

A bridge has been added across the ball stop section.

This provides an absolute 90 degree stop for the ball in the valve, which in turn reduces wear in the manifold.

Laboratory tests involving pumping a 7% silicon carbide slurry have shown that the new design gives an increased manifold lifetime of between two and three times compared to the previous version.

Flow rates of up to 151 L/min and fluid pressures up to 8.4 bar are maintained in the new version.
