Improve performance of Wilden AODD pumps

A Tri-Ark product story

Tri-Ark can now offer highly polished solid stainless steel replacement shafts for Wilden AODD pumps for better tensile strength, less susceptibility to corrosion and less wear on O-rings

Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump specialist Tri-Ark can now offer highly polished solid stainless steel replacement shafts for Wilden 1", 11/2", 2" and 3" AODD pumps.

These new shafts reduce maintenance costs for pumps by offering better tensile strength, less susceptibility to corrosion and less wear on O-rings compared to conventional chromium-plated mild steel shafts.

Tensile strength is of particular importance when AODD pumps are used to pump solids.

The shaft may experience eccentric loading, especially on pump start-up.

The stainless steel shaft offers much greater rigidity and is less likely to distort under these conditions.

AODD pumps are used in a wide variety of applications for many aggressive fluids.

Stainless steel offers good chemical resistance.

Also there is no risk of coatings wearing away to reveal less resistant material underneath.

The surfaces of the new shafts have a very highly polished finish.

This reduces friction with O-rings, leading to less O-ring wear.
