Tri-Ark can now offer the B50 and B75 Series of aluminium air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps from Blagdon.

Aluminium pumps have a strong, but lightweight construction and can be used with many solvent-based coatings.

The bolted configuration gives greater integrity.

Powered by compressed air, AODD pumps are used extensively in applications where electricity is either not available or must not be used for safety reasons.

Santoprene diaphragms and ball valves have been introduced as options for these models.

Santoprene provides excellent abrasion resistance and a long mechanical flex life for diaphragms and operates in the temperature range -23 to +100C.

Other materials available for diaphragms and ball valves include buna, neoprene and PTFE.

Both pumps are ported at the end for improved flow rates.

The B50 is a 2in pump with flow rates up to 34m3/h and the B75 is a 3in pump with flow rates up to 53m3/h.

Both pumps operate at pressures up to 8.6bar.

AODD pumps are particularly suitable for pumping abrasive fluids and both pumps can accommodate solid particles up to 10mm in size.

The B50 and B75 also feature a high-performance air valve which will not stall in mid position.

Designed for easy servicing, it may be easily removed or alternatively servicing may be carried out in line for minimum pump downtime.
