Trident Exhibitions reports that the recent IPOT - Imaging, Photonics and Optical Technology, Machine Vision and Displays Technology exhibitions were rewarding for all involved.

Trident Exhibitions reports that the recent IPOT - Imaging, Photonics and Optical Technology, Machine Vision and Displays Technology exhibitions, which took place at the NEC on 15th and 16th February, were rewarding for all involved Colocated with seven other focused industrial events, including Machine Building and Automation, PneuMotion, Drives and Motion Control Systems, Mtec- Sensors, Measurement and Instrumentation and Practical Vacuum, the two-day event attracted more than 5500 visitors

For the first time in 2006 the IPOT and Machine Vision event was complemented by the addition of the new Displays Technology exhibitors, creating one complete vision, photonics and displays resource.

Fred Tagg of Craft Data was pleased with Displays Technology being part of the IPOT and Machine Vision show, and commented the event was "busy from the outset - promising responses".

More than three-quarters of IPOT, Machine Vision and Displays Technology visitors were directors, managers or purchasers - those with real purchasing and decision-making authority.

This was evident for Bruno Lay of Adcis who commented "IPOT 2006 was a good show for us and we gathered a lot of interesting prospects".

Visitors came from a wealth of industries including aerospace and defence, automotive, research and development, universities and laboratories, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, medical and pharmaceutical and instrumentation and control to look for cameras, displays, image capture and storage, CCDs, fibre optic displays and sensors, image processing, machine vision systems, image analysers, imaging systems and much more.

The IPOT, Machine Vision and Displays Technology Exhibition Manager, Marlene Carr is pleased with how the events went: "At a time when major exhibitions seem to be diminishing IPOT, Machine Vision and Displays Technology and the seven colocated events have confirmed that this is not the case whatsoever".

"They have proved once again that focused exhibitions offer visitors a truly economical day away from the office".

"Exhibitors have commented on the high quality of contacts they made and we are looking forward to seeing what unfolds in 2007".

This is reinforced by the number of rebookings for the 2007 shows, which are already well underway - in fact they are already up by 12% when compared with the same time last year (as of 1st March).

Some of the exhibitors already confirmed for 2007 include First Sight Vision, BFi Optilas, Sill Optics and National Instruments.

The 2007 exhibitions will be held in Halls 10, 11 and 12 of the NEC on 14th and 15th February.

IPOT, Machine Vision and Displays Technology 2007 will also see the return of the Laser Centre supported by the Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU).

This dedicated area features companies involved in all aspects of lasers including the research activities and initiatives currently being worked in the UK and Europe.
