Now available from Trident Engineering is the 9000 series iron core motor from Portescap that provides a performance close to that of an ironless motor.

The use of the skewed winding technique in the 9000 series provides a low-cog rotor thus producing an iron core motor that has the benefits of an ironless motor without the normal additional cost.

The 9000 series is available in two power ratings of 35 and 64 watts.

The 24V version is held in stock at Trident enabling fast delivery of prototype quantities while 12 and 48V versions are available to order.

Seven different spur and planetary gearheads from the Trident and Portescap ranges can be fitted to the 9000 series providing a total of 42 different ratios with torque ratings from 0.14Nm to 11Nm.

The Hewlett Packard HEDS range of 2 and 3 channel digital encoders can also be fitted.

The result is an extremely flexible, high performance, low cost, small DC drive solution suitable for a wide range of applications.
