Trident And API Motion Join Forces In UK
Small DC motor specialist Trident Engineering has been appointed as the major UK stockist and distributor for API Motion.
Of particular interest to Trident is a highly competitive range of 15 to 55mm diameter permanent magnet stepper motors and high torque, hybrid stepper motors.
These are supplied with a wide selection of gearheads to form a powerful and highly cost-effective solution in application areas such as medical and laboratory equipment, CCTV and other camera systems, educational and scientific equipment, measurement devices and pick and place equipment.
Graham Oldland, managing director of Trident Engineering, explained the rationale behind this new initiative: "We have compiled a selected range of Motraxx products specifically for the UK market.
We have not offered low cost steppers before but the market is becoming increasingly cost conscience and many companies are moving away from DC motors to stepper motors in applications such as CCTV systems.
For us to continue to offer the complete small drive solution to all relevant markets it was important that we respond to this demand by expanding our product range.
Our policy of providing prototype and pre-production quantities from stock remains imperative to our success and is even more important in an increasingly competitive industry.".
