A new range of low-cost electronic controllers and servo amplifiers sets new standards in terms of capability and reliability for unit cost.

New from Trident Engineering is a range of low-cost electronic controllers and servo amplifiers that sets new standards in terms of capability and reliability for unit cost.

The SCA four-quadrant controllers are available in two models.

The SCA-LS-30-03 is a 3A version designed to control motors up to 75W whereas the SCA-SS-30-06 is a 6A version for motors up to 240W.

Housed in a strong, aluminium casing with a number of mounting options, the SCA controllers have separable screw terminal strips and operate from a supply voltage of 11 to 30V making them suitable for operation from all standard industrial voltages of 12, 15 and 24V.

The operating modes of IxR compensation, voltage control, current control and tacho feedback can be selected by jumpers that are accessible externally at all times and encoder feedback operation is available as an option.

These new controllers will be highly suitable for applications such as sorting machines, automatic placement systems, linear drives, welding systems, robot manipulators and positioning drives in the mechanical engineering market place and microscopes, X-ray equipment, high-precision dosage devices and analysis and dialysis instruments in the medical and laboratory sectors.

They will also be ideal for laser measurement systems, camera focus and zoom drives and film transport devices.

This new SCA controller range from Trident sets new standards in unit price with 20-off prices as low as GBP 68.00.
