Now available exclusively in the UK from Trident Engineering is the LN18, a new 6.8W, 20mm diameter, coreless, DC motor from Canon.

With an operating voltage of 14V, this bidirectional motor provides a torque constant of 11.8mNm/A and a no-load speed 10,600rev/min.

This compact motor with extremely low current consumption and low levels of inertia has an ironless, cylindrically wound rotor and is fitted with a high-performance neodymium magnet.

It is ideally suited to applications such as medical pumps, measuring instruments, motorised lock mechanisms, ATMs and VTR cameras.
