Troax' Safe-Fix machine fencing systems are to be used by Amada on machines produced at its two main manufacturing plants in France

Industrial safety specialist Troax has won a major contract to supply its Safe-Fix machine fencing systems to machine tool manufacturer Amada.

Troax is supplying a range of integrated safety solutions, including machine fencing, inter-locking systems and doors for use by Amada on the machine tools it supplies to other manufacturers on a global basis.

Troax' Safe-Fix machine fencing systems are to be used by Amada on machines produced at its two main manufacturing plants in France; the Charleville-Mezieres factory where punching and laser machines are produced and the Chateau-du-Loir factory which produces press brakes and shear machines.

Safe-Fix machine fencing is a robust, modular system of welded, wire mesh panels which are designed to enclose potentially hazardous automated machinery to protect personnel working nearby.

Doors providing access to guarded areas are fitted with the Troax mechanical Safe-Lock inter-locking system, which incorporates a number of integral safety features to prevent unauthorised access to the dangerous zones.

The fencing's welded, wire mesh panels are constructed from steel tube for maximum strength and resistance while their small mesh aperture of 100 x 23mm allows close positioning to equipment, maximising the use of space yet still meeting safe distance requirements.

Two fencing panels are to be supplied in the wire mesh design, while some will also incorporate transparent PETG materials to meet Amada's specific design requirements.

Telescopic doors are also being supplied.

All fencing and doors supplied by Troax will be finished to match Amada's choice of colour.

Troax' Rapid-Fix and Safe-Fix fencing is widely used throughout Europe by manufacturing companies as a convenient and cost-effective way to comply with European safety legislation.
