Partitioning specialist Troax UK has designed and installed a series of lockable storage enclosures for retailers at the Princess of Wales Centre in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

The secure wire mesh enclosures are used by retailers at the shopping centre to store waste bins which had previously become a target for vandals.

Enclosing the waste bins in the series of lockable, caged units prevents unauthorised access to the area, stopping vandals setting fire to the waste and averting a potentially serious safety hazard.

Troax custom-designed the enclosures to fit the layout of a central service area at the rear of the shopping centre, ensuring that they did not obstruct vehicle access to the centre's main delivery area.

The enclosures were constructed using Troax's Scimitar wire mesh partitioning in a galvanised finish to make them weather-resistant.

They are secured with a padlock to ensure that only authorised staff can gain access.

An important advantage of the Scimitar system is its all-welded wire mesh design which makes it extremely strong but also allows the interior of the enclosures to be completely visible so that any intruder can be spotted easily.

Troax has designed similar secure storage enclosures for many commercial, industrial and retail customers including B and Q, Somerfield, Matalan, Londis, John Menzies and Gatwick Airport.
