Modular partitioning used for Honda parts storage

A Troax UK product story

Troax UK has built and installed a custom-designed wire mesh enclosure as part of an overall project to relocate and expand an existing parts storage facility for Honda.

Industrial safety and partitioning specialist Troax UK has built and installed a custom-designed wire mesh enclosure as part of an overall project to relocate and expand an existing parts storage facility at the Honda of the UK Manufacturing plant in Swindon.

The new storage facility covers an area of approximately 900m2 and contains extensive racking which is used to store items ranging from the smallest screw to complete vehicle instrument panels.

Troax used its Scimitar range of modular, industrial wire mesh partitioning to construct the secure storage enclosure; Scimitar's wire mesh design allows stored items to be viewed easily, yet it ensures complete security at all times, with access to the area restricted to authorised personnel only.

Ensuring high safety standards for staff working in the area was also a priority, so Troax installed its anti-collapse, pallet rack safety screens along the pallet racking inside the enclosure.

The safety screens are designed to prevent accidents by stopping items falling from pallets and injuring anyone working in the aisle below.
