Troax's modular partitioning systems have been used to create an extensive series of offices, workstation and storage areas at Airbus UK's wing production facility in Broughton, North Wales.
Troax's modular partitioning systems have been used to create an extensive series of offices, workstation and storage areas at Airbus UK's wing production facility in Broughton, North Wales, where manufacturing includes the wings for the new Airbus A380.
New facilities were constructed at the Broughton site to manufacture and assemble construct wings for the Airbus A380, which, with a capacity of 555 passengers, is the world's largest passenger jet.
Troax's Excalibur range of modular steel partitioning was used to construct the offices in a project carried out by contractor Somerville Installations.
The offices, built using a combination of solid steel and steel and glazed panels, are situated in the main production area.
Excalibur provided the ideal solution in this busy and sometimes noisy environment as, with its double skin design, it provides a high level of sound and heat insulation and complies with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
The partitioning panels are flush both sides, making them streamlined and smart, while their high quality powder coated finish also helps to create an attractive appearance.
Also, because the system is modular, Airbus UK has the flexibility to alter the office layout in the future, should its requirements change.
