The "3 steps to successful rapid product development" seminars at 3T's site in Newbury continue to prove popular.

The "3 steps to successful rapid product development" seminars at 3T's site in Newbury continue to prove popular, and with a new sales office recently opened in Telford, they are now able to reach a wider audience with these events.

Numerous companies have benefited from 3T's unbiased, informative approach to these events, which promote the technology, not the company, and contain just the right amount of information on each subject and process to stimulate endless ideas and questions.

The three steps are concept modelling, rapid prototyping and rapid tooling And although it is generally accepted that a reduction in product development lead times can equate to a significant financial return, what many are asking is how.

What if: marketing needs a model tonight; engineering needs to test a component at over 100C this week; or production needs to trial an assembly line this month.

Is it possible.

The seminars aim to increase awareness of the techniques available and demonstrate their applicability to industry.

There is no charge for attending, they are relaxed and informal with registration at 10.00, and include a buffet lunch.

Geoff Kerr, a Senior Design Engineer at Delphi Delco Electronics attended a recent seminar and commented: "The presentation material was very informative, educational and enjoyably unbiased in its content.

For design engineers who have to maintain an awareness of all trends within all disciplines of the product development, this type of seminar covering the leading edge technological advancements in rapid prototyping is invaluable".

Another delegate, John Maynard, a Chief Mechanical Engineer at Thales Defence, said: "I was very impressed by the relevance and breadth of the content.

3T have now repeated the seminar at our site in Crawley, helping to raise the awareness of over fifty of our employees".

Forthcoming seminars comprise events on Wednesday 18th June and Tuesday 9th September in Newbury and on Wednesday 9th July 2003 in Telford.

Anyone interested can register online by going to the seminars page on the 3T website.
