The first "Three steps to successful rapid product development" seminar at 3T's new Telford sales office was a magnificent success last week, with 20 delegates from local companies attending.

Held at the Business Development Centre on Stafford Park in Telford, Shropshire, the offices are just half a mile from the town centre, within walking distance of Telford Central Railway Station, and just minutes from the M54 Junctions 4 and 5.

Numerous companies have benefited from 3T's unbiased, informative approach to these events, which promote the technology, not the company, and contain just the right amount of information on each subject and process to stimulate endless ideas and questions.

Covering the three main areas of rapid product development - concept modelling, rapid prototyping and rapid tooling - the seminars aim to increase awareness of the techniques available and demonstrate their applicability to industry.

Paul Edwards, Business Development Manager based in Telford said: "Following the success of these events during the last two years at Newbury, we are now able to reach a much wider audience by hosting them in Telford, and the fact that they only take up a morning, and include a buffet lunch, seems to suit everyone".

Relaxed and informal, the seminars are free of charge, start at 10.00 and include a buffet lunch.

The next event in Telford is on Wednesday 22nd October 2003.

Events continue to run at 3T's main location in Newbury, with the next being on Tuesday 9th September 2003.

Geoff Kerr, a Senior Design Engineer at Delphi Delco Electronics attended a recent Seminar and commented: "The presentation material was very informative, educational and enjoyably unbiased in its content.

For design engineers who have to maintain an awareness of all trends within all disciplines of the product development, this type of seminar covering the leading edge technological advancements in rapid prototyping is invaluable".

Another delegate, John Maynard, Chief Mechanical Engineer at Thales Defence, said: "I was very impressed by the relevance and breadth of the content.

3T have now repeated the seminar at our site in Crawley, helping to raise the awareness of over 50 of our employees".

Potential delegates can register online by going to the seminars page on the 3T website.
