3T RPD's Telford Sales Office has moved to new premises at PTL, Halesfield 7, Telford, scene of a recent rapid product development seminar.

3T RPD's Telford Sales Office has moved to new premises at PTL, Halesfield 7, Telford, scene of a recent rapid product development seminar.

3T has had a presence in Telford for just over a year now, allowing it to be closer to its client base in the North and Midlands regions.

With the use of PTL's reception facilities and office space large enough to host client meetings, 3T can provide face to face project advice and make their consultative approach to doing business more widely available.

A leading trainer for the plastics and rubber industries, PTL's renowned technical centre provides the ideal environment for 3T to base its sales office, and to run its rapid product development seminars.

These have been running in Newbury for 4 years and in Telford for the last 9 months, with an average of 40 delegates to each event.

In a highly significant development for vocational training in the polymer industry, PTL has gained approval from the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to become a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE).

The decision means a significant investment by the LSC into training at PTL which, in the future, may be expanded to include rapid prototyping.

By being onsite at PTL, 3T are in a perfect position to offer their experience in this field.

Paul Edwards, 3T's Sales and Marketing Manager, is permanently based at the Telford office and says: "The move to PTL reinforces our position in the North and Midlands, and signifies further our commitment to developing new business and supporting our customers in these regions".

He adds: "PTL's facilities are superb and provide the perfect venue for our training seminars.

The fact that they only take up a morning, include a buffet lunch and a tour of PTL's injection moulding facility, seems to suit everyone".

3T's seminars provide an informative, unbiased overview on how to achieve successful rapid product development through concept modelling; rapid prototyping and rapid tooling.

Promoting the technologies available, they demonstrate their applicability to industry and contain just the right amount of information on each subject and process to stimulate endless ideas and questions.

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems-Components Europe, a tier one global supplier of automotive wiring systems and associated components to vehicle manufacturers throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and America, sent three of its project engineers to the recent rapid product development seminar in Telford.

Dave Wain said: "As a rapid prototyping novice i was extremely impressed with this seminar and felt it gave me an excellent initial insight into the industry.

It highlighted many new RP advances that may be applied to future projects within my organisation".

Future dates are: Wednesday 9th June 2004 at Sandford Springs Golf Club, near Newbury, Berkshire; and Tuesday 13th July 2004 at Polymer Training in Telford.

For companies with 10 or more delegates interested in attending, 3T will take the seminar to their site and run it there, free of charge.
