Safe wet machining with oil mist collectors

A Torit DCE product story

Independent tests show the filtration efficiency of the Torit DCE Dryflo range of oil mist collectors is greater than 99.8%, making them ideal to ensure 'safe' wet machining operations.

Companies with wet machining operations may be putting operators' health at risk unless they take steps to control the mist created by oils and coolants.

Failure to do so can result in sore throats, respiratory problems and skin diseases.

To combat this health risk, Torit DCE have the Dryflo range of oil mist collectors.

Independent tests show their filtration efficiency is greater than 99.8%, making them ideal to ensure 'safe' wet machining operations.

Dryflo are the only oil mist collectors specifically engineered to deal with the mist associated with wet machining.

They contain a 3 stage cartridge filtration system which allows oil to drain away so their efficiency remains high even when large amounts of oil have been collected.

In contrast, many competitive technologies have no mechanism for drainage and their efficiency drops almost immediately after installation.

One of the biggest problems associated with standard filters is knowing when to change them so that acceptable levels of health and safety are maintained.

With the Dryflo range, a built-in gauge indicates when a filter has reached the end of its life, based on predictable changes in pressure differential.

Changing filters is easy and involves minimal operator contact with the collected oil.

Dryflo cartridge filters deal effectively with mist generated from mineral oil, water-soluble oil, semi-synthetic coolants and synthetic coolants.

Dryflo is recommended for all wet machining operations including drilling, boring, stamping, turning and machines such as high speed presses, CNC machining centres and screw cutting machines.

The Dryflo range includes machine-mountable collectors for point of source extraction and control, and central systems for multiple machining applications.

The units handle airflow from 400 to 37,500m3/hr.
